AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER

We provide both assessment and treatment services for children who are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). At Small Talk OC, we understand that Autism is a neurotype. We honor each child’s unique interests, sensory differences and play styles. Our goal is to build speech, language and communication skills through child led and play focused therapy sessions.

Before beginning intervention, an evaluation is completed in order to gather information regarding your child's strengths, challenges and communication skills. We believe that teaching autistic children should focus on incorporating naturally occurring activities that are highly motivating to children and readily accessible to parents. We feel it is extremely important to form strong working relationships with the families and related professionals through open communication and collaboration to best support the whole child.
